Below are some of the most common questions we recieve:
1. When is conference and pre-leg?
Conference is at East Brunswick Hilton (Adress: 3 Tower Center Blvd, East Brunswick, NJ 08816) from April 24-26; Pre-leg is Westfield High School (Adress: 550 Dorian Rd, Westfield, NJ 07090) from 8:30 AM - 4 PM.
2. What is pre-leg?
NJYAG Pre-Leg (Pre-Legislative Conference) is a key preparatory event for the New Jersey YMCA Youth and Government (NJ YAG) program. It serves as a, one-day training session where delegates learn and develop the skills needed to succeed at conference (i.e., bill debate, key terminology, etc.). Additionally, it serves as a way for one to meet their committee and their chair (State Officer who presides over the committee) prior to conference. Throughout the event, delegates will also be introduced to the Governor Candidates, those who seek to lead the conference for the next year.
3. When do I need to have my completed bill?
First drafts for bills should be completed before pre-leg, but following pre-leg, you will have a chance to edit your bill extensively (see Resources for more info) and strengthen it to be the best it can be. Final bills should be completed slightly in advance to the conference, the excact date will come out ASAP!
4. How do I register for conference?

5. How do I start a delegation?
We are extremely open to all delegates attending conference and accessibility! Please email yag@njyalliance.org to learn about starting a new delegation.​​
6. How do I stay involved after high school?
Staying involved with YAG in high school is something several delegates do through the YAG Alumni volunteer program! Here, you act as a volunteer staffer in addition to several other benefits and fun, rewarding experiences detailed on this Alumni section of the website!
