NJ YAG Jr. Legislature

This specialized committee is for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to allow younger students to experience the various aspects of the Y&G program. Students will meet during the Legislative Weekend and emulate different aspects of Conference, as well as experience the same debate and problem-solving situations as their high school counterparts.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be in 6th, 7th or 8th grade

• Learn and partake in the process of drafting and debating a bill

• Read and know the rules of Parliamentary Procedure

• Emulate the processes within specialized committees

• Uphold the Four Core Values while debating during sessions and all other Conference functions
